One of Guerrilla Girls' most well-known artworks, The Advantages of Being a Woman Artist was originally printed in 1988 as a run of 50 screen prints on white paper. This thought-provoking piece is now available as a tea towel, for use as either a functional household item or to display as an artwork.
Guerrilla Girls are a group of female artists who strive to ‘fight discrimination through humour, activism, and the arts’. Formed in New York City in 1985, they are well known for concealing their identities by wearing gorilla masks, which they also used in their artwork Do Women Have To Be Naked To Get Into the Met. Museum?, 1989.
