Raven Chacon's Compass is a score for solo amplified guitar meant to be performed outdoors. The guitarist observes the surrounding environment—shadows, wind, insects, and clouds—to inform their musical decisions. The piece encourages a deep listening to the rhythms and pulses of the world around us.
