Abloh established Pyrex Vision, his first fashion brand, in 2012. He screen printed “Pyrex,” “23,” and images of a painting by sixteenth-century Italian Renaissance artist Caravaggio onto store-bought sweatshirts, shorts, socks, and plaid shirts. Pyrex nods to the glassware used in home drug labs and “23” to the jersey number worn by basketball star Michael Jordan.
The sweatshirt is made with legendary Champion heavyweight reverse weave fleece, cut on the crossgrain to resist vertical shrinkage. Featuring heritage details including a double-layer hood, hand-warming pouch pocket, and signature stretch side panels. Issued in a classic, unisex fit made for everyone. Note new label! Current orders will receive an updated version of this hoodie with a new label designed by Virgil Abloh printed directly on the side of the garment.
