Designed by Virgil Abloh—artist, designer, artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s menswear, and founder of Off-White™—for the ICA exhibition Virgil Abloh: "Figures of Speech," on view July 3-September 26, 2021.
"MANCHESTER, ILLINOIS," 2019, (front) is a collaboration between Virgil Abloh and Ben Kelly, who designed iconic music venues in England such as the Haçienda club in Manchester, the birthplace of acid house and rave music in the 1980s. On the back, "dollar a gallon II," 2019, embodies the inspiration Abloh derives from the urban landscape with a gas station sign, while also suggesting the ground itself is giving way.
Screen printed in the USA on a classic Champion tee, with unisex sizing that's made to fit everyone. Note new label! Current orders will receive an updated version of this tee with a new label designed by Virgil Abloh printed directly on the garment. (See last image)
